- Support early phase developments, projects and operations with technical safety support over a fields life cycle
- Responsible for asset and project barrier strategies, barriers and technology used to ensure minimal MAE.
- Focal point for technical safety design, and design implementation in projects. This work shall be aligned with the operational needs and processes of the company
- Contribute to scopes of work, design basis and other project documents (e.g. shutdown philosophies) to ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements within technical safety
- Follow up contractor studies linked to technical safety, ensuring clarifications and progress are maintained and delivered as required
- Identify and follow-up internal and external risk analysis, and ensure that barrier management activities are performed
- Facilitate, understanding of technical safety and how activities are linked and what information changes need to be communicated
- Define scope, co-ordinate and if required facilitate HAZOPs
- Closeout and document to the asset owners satisfaction HAZOP/HAZID/FSA actions
- Raise major accident hazard and process safety barrier management awareness across the company.
- Describe and monitor technical integrity of relevant systems/barriers.
- Ensure that systems/equipment within own responsibility have an expedient test/maintenance program.
- Ensure that relevant regulatory/company requirements are complied with and contribute to deviation handling.
- Contribute to assurance activities, verifications, audits, investigations, reviews, major accidental risk workshops
- Ensure that relevant technical documentation (LCI) is updated, correct and accessible during project and operational phases of an assets life.
- Ensure transfer of experience
Critical Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- University degree, preferably Master, in a relevant subject.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Operator and / or Contractor companies, essential
- Demonstrable technical safety knowledge and understanding (experience with Havtil regulations and relevant standards such as NORSOK S-001, ISO 13702)
- Demonstrable involvement in
- Early project phases: Feasibility, Concept Select and Define. Define project definition studies needed and show understanding of the content.
- Project execution phase involvement, showing understanding of deliverables and interdependencies of other disciplines with the technical safety discipline and operations
- Operational technical safety
It is preferred that all three areas have minimum of 2 years of experience, it is essential 2 of 3 have 2 years of experience
Language skills:
- Fluent oral and written English is essential and Norwegian is preferred as an additional language
