Purpose of Role:

 

  • Perform completion engineering planning of offshore development.
  • Prepare operations in close relationship with offshore development team and service partners.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining BU Mexico Wells guidelines and standards.

 

Critical Responsibilities:

 

  • Preparation and execution of completion planning and studies related to offshore development project.
  • Active follow-up of offshore completion operations (development and work-over/intervention planning), and preparation of documents required for internal and external approvals.
  •  Assurance that all well engineering activities follow governing regulations and internal processes and procedures, as well as Harbour Energy HSES management system.
  • Working closely with other project disciplines (HSE, Subsurface, Facilities, Commercial).

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

 

  • Active and regular interactions with headquarters to ensure compliance with company project delivery process
  • Active and regular interactions with partner’s completion and production technology team.
  • Active and regular collaboration with service companies.
  • Some business travel including offshore.

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Education level of Bachelor/Master Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related.
  • Proficient in both Spanish and English (written & spoken).
  • Between 10 to 20 years of relevant experience in completion engineering and operations.
  • Relevant experience with offshore completion projects in the Gulf of Mexico, ideally including knowledge of well testing, sand control and artificial lift technologies
  • Experience in preparing well design and completion operational plans liaising with service partners
  • Experience in interacting with local authorities (SENER, ASEA).
  • Performance mindset and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Highly motivated to learn from others.
  • Mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving capacity.
  • Detail-oriented focus on reaching the tasks/objectives proposed.
