Purpose of Role:

At harbour Energy we are committed to identifying, developing and progressing our people and earning their loyalty so we retain them within our organisation.  The Leadership Development Team Lead role plays a pivotal part in nurturing and developing leaders to be ready to rise to evolving market forces and changing business challenges.

This role is designed to:

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning across our global leader community
  • Develop and implement executive and leadership development interventions, aligned with Harbour’s strategic goals, values & behaviours, that enhance Global leadership capabilities across all leadership levels
  • Assure an internal pipeline of leadership talent ready to fill business critical roles

 

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:    

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

  • Learning Culture:  Foster a culture of learning agility where every leader is encouraged and supported to be open to new and smarter ways of leading their teams and the organisation as Harbour Energy responds to market opportunities and demands
  • Talent intelligence:  Build developmental relationships with top talent to inform leadership development interventions
  • Leadership Programmes: Develop and deliver high impact global leadership development programs tailored to the opportunities and challenges leaders face in delivering the strategic plan
  • Succession Plan Solutions: Use talent analytics to implement development interventions that feed succession pipelines for business critical roles
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Facilitate the provision of coaching and mentoring services to executives and senior leaders
  • High Potential Programmes:  Develop and deliver development programmes for leadership HiPos at all levels
  • Change Management: Support M&A activities by preparing leaders to lead others through change and personally thrive
  • Executive Development: Source on demand executive development services
  • Learning and Development Collaboration: Collaborate with the L&D team to ensure leadership development is aligned with overall learning strategies
  • Leadership culture: Promote a culture of engagement and high performance by embedding Harbour’s values and behaviours in  leaders’ everyday practices
  • External Talent Partners: Source and manage external talent partners to deliver high quality talent and leadership services
  • Continuous improvement:  Drive quality evaluation and continuous improvement practices to ensure leadership development initiatives are best in class
  • Health and Safety Environment: Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and Harbour Energy HSES procedures

 

Critical Skills:

Academic Qualifications:

  • Degree in relevant field; further education or certifications in learning and talent management preferred

     Relevant Experience:

  • Proven experience of leading leadership development within the oil and gas industry or a similar complex, technical environment
  • Demonstrated Executive Development program design and delivery experience
  • Executive coaching experience preferred
  • Experience with HR systems preferred
  • Experience of designing and implementing strategic leadership development programs that align with business objectives
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing senior leaders, with the ability to engage and inspire leaders at all levels
