Purpose of Role:
- Responsible for internal and external consolidated group financial reporting
Critical Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

Collaborating across the financial reporting team and wider business to ensure timely production of high quality consolidated financial statements and notes for external and internal financial reporting, including Annual Report & Accounts

Responsible for building relationships with allocated business units (BU), reviewing and reporting on integrity of their reporting processes and submissions for group reporting purposes working closely with Planning and Tax colleagues.

Ensuring compliance with IFRS, accounting policies and procedures, technical accounting, external regulatory and legal requirements for allocated areas of responsibility

Support M&A and financing initiatives with financial due diligence for any prospectus, bond OM and ratings agency requirements as appropriate

Supports the external statutory audit process and key responsibility in providing reporting information for the Audit & Risk Committee agenda.

Support design development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the reliability of financial statement and compliance with relevant UK plc requirements.

Continually look for ways to improve financial reporting processes and systems.
Key System Interfaces

SAP 4 Hana reporting systems including Group Consolidation Tool;

To be implemented group reporting tool (Workiva or similar)

To be implemented EU Taxonomy tool
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc:

University degree
-
ACA professional accounting qualification

Extensive experience in financial reporting within a multinational company and/or Big 4 firm, with a strong preference for experience in the oil and gas sector and for a listed company environment.

Strong technical accounting skills, with In-depth knowledge of IFRS and internal control requirements.

Proven track record of managing relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies (FRC, industry bodies).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner and to build relationships with international teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
