Purpose of Role:

  • This is an entry level development role for aspiring Wells Engineers to gain a breadth of experience in well engineering and operations.  
  • ​Typically involves an initial offshore assignment, then rotating through several other positions in Wells, to develop a broad range of well engineering and operations skills, positioning themselves for future career opportunities both onshore and offshore.​​​ 

 

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the engineering and operational teams 
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements and Harbour Energy HSES procedures

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

  • Drilling / completion / abandonment engineering 
  • ​Well services – integrity / intervention 
  • ​Offshore rotations - rig-based, well service or vessel-based assignments (e.g. as wellsite engineer) 
  • ​Support HSE initiatives 
  • ​Support feasibility studies 
  • ​Develop cost estimates  
  • ​Conduct risk assessments 
  • ​Evaluate new technology 
  • ​Specify & procure equipment. 
  • ​Compile regulatory information  
  • ​Manage contractor interfaces  
  • ​Compile detailed programmes, supported by relevant specialists. 
  • ​Provide general wellsite engineering & operational support  
  • ​Perform data analytics, evaluate performance improvements 
  • ​Carry out post well review & reporting. 
  • ​Perform weekend duty as required 
  • ​Participate in graduate development programme 
  • ​Attain experience to support Chartered Engineer status 
  • ​Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.​
