Purpose of Role:

  • We are seeking a motivated and ambitious finance graduate. As a finance graduate, you will gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in various areas of finance, including Revenue, Joint Venture and General & Administrative accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Systems and Economics. You will work closely with senior finance professionals and have the chance to contribute to key projects and initiatives within the company.  You’ll move around key Finance functions, gaining knowledge and new skills as you progress.

 

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and management reporting
  • Support accounting for Harbour Energy’s Hydrocarbon Revenue & Inventory
  • Prepare and analyse Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
  • Collaborate in the budget process
  • Prepare statutory financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow
  • Prepare and analyse Depreciation calculations
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial forecasting models
  • Support development of Long Range Plan
  • System administration for Finance master data and system user access control
  • Economic Analysis
  • Corporate Intercompany Allocations
  • Assist external audit queries
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in finance

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
  • Strong academic record with a focus on finance, accounting, economics, or a relevant discipline
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and Microsoft Excel
  • Curiosity, willingness to work hard and commitment to deliver.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
  • Internship or relevant work experience in finance is a plus
