• As Production Engineering advisor you will act as the primary advisor for all Production Technology issues, providing technically sound recommendations to project teams, team leads, and management in Business Unit of Harbour Energy Norway.
• Lead Quality Assurance activities, Peer Assists, and Reviews to ensure the technical integrity of the discipline within projects and operations. Recommend and lead improvements for all project phases.
• Act as Owners Representative for relevant elements of the Business Unit Management System and Technical Requirements.
• Active coach and mentor for staff to ensure technical integrity of projects and to develop and broaden technical skills. Provide QA peer assistance (QAA) to individuals when requested.
• Act as technical expert or lead for ad-hoc projects and studies when required.
• Present work at internal and external forums (including relevant licence committee meetings) and contribute to technical publications.
• Global support to other BUs and the Production Technology Technical Authority (TA) as part of Centre of Excellence (CoE).
• Support the functional management of the Business Unit Production Technology skill pool as required. Maintain overviews of competencies within the relevant discipline, support recruitment and interview processes, and recommend mandatory training within the Production Technology skill area.
• Promote technical excellence through sharing best practice and lessons learned through the organisation.
• Participate in audits and verifications of partners and contractors as necessary, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
• Provide expert oversight on field development, Tubing Selection, and Integrated Asset Modelling (IAM). Must possess expert knowledge of the Petroleum Experts suite (PROSPER, GAP, MBAL) to lead nodal analysis and ensure interface alignment with reservoir models.
• Drive technical excellence in Gas Lift design and lower completion strategy, specifically regarding sand control and screen choices.
• Deliver Production Technology services to internal clients, including the diagnosis and mitigation of formation damage mechanisms in both oil and gas fields.
• Participate in internal and external investigations as necessary, ensuring the identification and implementation of lessons learned and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to tenders and contracts as required.
• Support in Technology Assessment and throughout potential Technology Qualification Programs when new technology or new technology applications are required

Education requirements and Work Experience:

• University degree, preferably Master or PhD, in relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the E&P industry
• Demonstrated success in coaching and mentoring
• Excellent understanding of field development and simulation modelling
• Track record of effective multi-disciplinary team working and networking across the organisation
• Good knowledge of Oil & Gas projects and Operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS)
• Good knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and requirements relevant for NCS

• English: Fluent oral and written
• Norwegian: Fluent oral and written preferred as additional language
