Purpose of Role:

•    Lead the technical delivery of the G&G team covering geology, geophysics and geo-modelling, supporting delivery to Zama, Kan and Block 30 per project and exploration priorities.
•    Build and develop G&G capability through technical management across the geoscience disciplines.
•    Accountability for ensuring work is delivered in compliance with relevant standards and procedures, both local regulations and Harbour internal.

•    Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

•    Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

Accountable for the Technical Delivery of:
•    Static models for Zama and Kan in alignment with the asset team
•    Manage technical delivery of structural, sedimentological and stratigraphic interpretation across BU assets.
•    Manage delivery of 3D static models, depth conversion, seismic attribute analysis and reservoir characterisation deliverables for Zama and Kan.
•    Deliver consistent volumetric estimation (STOIIP/GIIP) methodology across Zama, Kan and Block 30, supporting reserves and resource bookings.
Resource Deployment and People Management
•    Deploy geologists, geophysicists and geo-modellers to Zama and Kan project priorities, and to Block 30 exploration evaluations per project and business priorities, coordinating with asset Subsurface Managers on resourcing needs.
•    Line-manage direct reports across the engineering disciplines, coaching them through technical mentoring and structured feedback.
•    Set individual objectives, conduct performance reviews and build national G&G capability and support hiring and selection in coordination with the Reservoir Senior Manager.

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc. :

Technical Skills:
•    Strong knowledge of structural, sedimentological and stratigraphic interpretation, specifically in complex turbidite environments.
•    Proficiency in 3D static model characterisation including structural and property modelling (Petrel).
•    Competency in seismic interpretation including attribute analysis, frequency decomposition and iso-proportional slicing.

•    Strong understanding of hydrocarbon volumetric estimation (STOIIP/GIIP) methodology and reserves classification (PRMS).
•    Experience in geo-modelling and integration of geophysical, petrophysical and dynamic data.
•    Experience supervising and leading multi-discipline G&G teams across development and exploration projects.

•    Strong ability to create and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

•    Strong written and oral skills to efficiently communicate ideas and plans.
Professional Experience:
•    More than 12 years of experience in the E&P industry with a strong geoscience background.
•    Experience delivering G&G inputs to offshore development projects, ideally through FEED to FID and into execution.
•    Experience working with JV partners and regulatory authorities.
Education:
•    Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
•    Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Earth Sciences (Geology, Geophysics or equivalent); membership of professional and industry associations.
Language:
•    English: Proficient (written and spoken).
•    Spanish: Intermediate or above.
