Purpose of Role:

  • The Senior Reward Advisor is tasked with overseeing the development and implementation of reward strategies and policies that are aligned with the company's goals and regulatory standards in Mexico. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring competitive and sustainable reward structures that attract and retain top talent.
  • This role collaborates closely with HR leaders and business units to ensure that reward programs are consistently administered and align with organisational strategies and goals. The Senior Reward Advisor will analyse and recommend improvements to existing practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • By maintaining an in-depth knowledge of statutory requirements and market trends, the Senior Reward Advisor ensures compliance and competitiveness of reward packages. This role also supports cross-functional teams in integrating reward systems with broader HR initiatives such as performance management and employee engagement.

  • Ensures all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

 

Reward Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive reward strategies that reflect the organization's objectives and market conditions.
  • Evaluate and redefine compensation and benefits policies to ensure they meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Analyse market trends and data to ensure Harbour Energy's reward offerings remain competitive and sustainable.
  • Collaborate with HR Information Systems to enhance reward program effectiveness through technology.

 

Policy and Compliance

  • Ensure all reward programs comply with local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor legislative changes that impact compensation and benefits and adjust company policies accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and expert advice on tax implications, equity regulations, and executive compensation.

 

Performance Alignment

  • Align reward systems with performance management frameworks to drive organisational performance.
  • Design incentive schemes that motivate employees and support the achievement of business targets.
  • Conduct regular audits on the effectiveness of reward programs and propose modifications based on feedback and business evolution.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with senior management to gather input and gain support for reward initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Total Rewards Manager to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
  • Provide training and communication to HR and management teams on reward policy updates and practices.

 

Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

 

Technical Skills

  • Expert knowledge of compensation strategies, benefit programs, and job evaluation techniques.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and data analysis tools to manage and forecast reward costs.
  • Familiarity with global reward practices and compliance with local employment standards.

 

Non-Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing stakeholder expectations and promoting HR initiatives.
  • Leadership qualities that include the ability to drive strategic plans and influence organisational policies.

 

Professional Experience

  • Experience in designing and managing reward programs in a multinational corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing effective reward strategies that align with business goals.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

 

Language

  • English: proficient (written and spoken).
  • Spanish: proficient (written and spoken).
