Purpose of Role:

 

  • Responsible for the production engineering design and production optimization strategy for Zama, with focus on well and field productivity, production optimization, maximize recovery, minimize cost and improve safety.
  •  

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):

 

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

 

  • Perform production technology tasks for the Zama asset according with the Field Development Plan.
  • Design and optimize well performance technical details (producers and injectors) through specific Production Engineering workflows (nodal analysis, tubing size selection, metallurgy, sandface completion screening and selection, critical rates and production envelope evaluation).
  • Contribute to dynamic simulation with production engineering input (VFPs).
  • Performs optimal selection and design of ESPs.
  • Concept design, analysis and optimization of oil and gas gathering systems, both subsea and topside, including production testing and back allocation.
  • Support the corporate business plan, Resource management, and for internal/external approval processes.
  • Participate in internal and external partners technical meeting TCM’s.

 

Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s in petroleum engineering or related engineering
  • Master’s degree in petroleum engineering or related to energy is desirable
  • Proficient in English (written & spoken, ≥ B2 level)
  • 12+ years relevant experience in production technology
  • Relevant experience with Field Development Planning (including offshore and subsea projects)
  • Proficient in petroleum engineering subjects such as nodal analysis, integrated production system modelling, production optimization, field surveillance, production testing and back-allocation
  • Strong competencies in sandface completions concept select tasks, with focus on sand control (e.g. CHFP, CHGP).
  • Strong competencies in PT software (Gohfer, Prosper, Coflow, PETEX suite, Autograph)
  • Strong written and oral skills to efficiently communicate ideas, plans
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong problem-solving capacities
