Purpose of Role:

The Senior National Content Advisor supports procurement/corporate activities and ensures compliance with national content requirements established by Mexican energy regulations. The role assists in supplier sourcing, purchase order administration, and monitoring national of content obligations in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers. This position contributes to efficient procurement operations while supporting the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and local supplier.

 

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES):

Ensure that all activities are executed safely and responsibly, in full compliance with applicable regulations and the company’s HSES standards, preventing Major Accident Events (MAE) and Major Accidents to the Environment (MATTE).

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

Act in full alignment with the company’s Ethics and Compliance framework and complete all required compliance training.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

1 . Procurement Support

· Support the RFQ/RFP process, related to National Content.

· Execution expense analysis reports.

· Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases and purchasing documentation related to National Content.

· Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Finance, Logistics and Projects) to support National Content requirements and strategies.

· Collects, maintains and processes information related to National Content.

2. National Content Compliance 

· Assist in the tracking and reporting of National Content related to the company operations and contracts.

· Collect and validate documentation from suppliers to support national content reporting obligations.

· Maintain databases and records related to local content participation in procurement activities.

· Support preparations of reports and documentation required by regulatory authorities (e.g. Sener or relevant agencies).

· Work with suppliers to ensure proper classification and documentation of local content.

3. Supplier Management

· Support the identification and registration of local suppliers in alignment with national content strategies.

· Assist in supplier evaluation and qualification process.

· Maintain communication with suppliers regarding documentation, compliance and procurement requirements.

· Manage all supplier records related to National Content. 

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc. :

Technical Skills

· Understanding of national content/local content requirements in Mexico.

· Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.

Non-Technical Skills

· Good analytical and reporting abilities.

· Experience managing audits or compliance assurance activities.

· Strong organizational and documentation management skill.

· Attention to detail.

· Proactive attitude.

· Compliance-oriented mindset.

· Team collaboration.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Professional Experience

· Minimum 10 years in E&P business with 6 years of experience in administrative roles related to Mexico National Content Management.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree economist or related field. 

Languages

· Proficient in English and Spanish (written & spoken).
