Purpose of Role:
- Supports static reservoir characterization for the development of Zama. Prepare and conduct subsurface planning and studies to improve understanding of the reservoir. Prepare well proposals for Zama.
Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
- Prepare the static information acquisition plan (design) for all Zama development wells.
- Monitoring and surveillance of dynamic data acquired during drilling operation, including validation and quality control of the acquired information.
- Prepare and interpret geological cross sections, structural / facies maps, and other geological representations (incl. 3D structural models).
- Static models generation/modification (3D static modelling) for geological evaluation of well placement and for dynamic simulation.
- Support the corporate business plan, Resource management, and internal/external approval processes.
- Participate in internal and external partners technical meeting TCM’s.
Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience:
- Bachelors in Geology or Geoscience related engineering subjects
- Master’s degree in Geology or Petroleum engineering is desirable
- Proficient in English (written & spoken, ≥ B2 level)
- 15+ years of relevant experience in geological reservoir characterization
- Relevant experience with static reservoir characterization, specifically in complex turbidites
- Relevant experience with static modelling software (Jewelsuite, Petrel, Scua)
- Some knowledge of structural geology and sedimentology
- Strong written and oral skills to efficiently communicate ideas, plans
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong problem-solving capacities
