JOB OBJECTIVE / JOB EXPECTATIONS
- To act as SURF Company Representative for the SURF FEED/EPC(I) delivery with the responsibility to manage and control the FEED/EPC(I) contract(s), from FEED engineering to detail design, procurement, fabrication and offshore installation, ensuring contractor delivery in line with Contract standards and regulations.
- Monitor, co-ordinate and steer Contractor activities in line with Kan Project Master Schedule, focusing on drilling and other project campaigns to ensure it meets Company goals in terms of QHSES, schedule and cost efficiency, while maintaining compliance to the prevailing standard, procedures and regulations.
- Lead and supervise the SURF Team
- Be a HSE role model towards others including the Contractors.
Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
TASKS AND SCOPE OF WORK / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS.
- Ensure compliance with Harbour Energy Management System.
- Provide leadership on HSEQ issues and set by example the framework and behaviors towards the Contractors
- Implement team/ group management and leadership principles and governance of the SURF scope aligned with Company expectations and standards.
- Establish and describe which Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) / targets / goals shall be applied for the SURF Contract follow-up and administration.
- Participate and contribute to project risk workshops. Identify and follow up relevant risks and opportunities with corresponding actions.
- Ensure that necessary and competent resources are available and assigned to the follow-up of the SURF Contract(s).
- Cooperate with the WHP and FPSO respective Company Representative to ensure alignment and coordination between FPSO and WHP interfaces, schedules and deliveries.
- Obtain assistance and support from Contract Administrator and HBR Legal Department in handling of conflicts, claims and warranties.
- Ensure that all SURF engineering, procurement, construction, testing, completion, installation and commissioning of all SURF related equipment is performed in accordance with project standards and functional specifications defined in the SURF Contract.
- Monitor progress of interface engineering between SPS Contractor and main interfacing Contractors.
- Ensure lessons learned from the earlier projects and ongoing activities can be captured and addressed.
- Provide input to tender processes (SoW, project requirements etc) and support tender clarification and evaluation up to RFA.
- Provide timely input to Contract management processes such as changes, TQ’s, NCR’s, VOR’s, document reviews, cost & scheduling etc.
- Close-out and agree all technical/contractual matters related to the SURF Contract.
- Travelling to SURF Contractor work sites is expected.
- Travelling to and prolonged periods at Contractor sites is expected
TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
Technical Skills (Special Technical knowledge: As: Software. Law knowledge, standards knowledge, etc.)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Education (Level of educational required)
- University degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with pipeline/subsea construction projects, preferably with both operators and contractors, early phase and/or execute.
- Knowledge of Conditions of Contract (CoC) for Subsea EPC(I) contracts.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant Contractors/Suppliers and the latest market developments.
- Management and leadership experience.
