JOB OBJECTIVE / JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Provide technical expertise for Material Technology, Material selection and Welding.
- Developing Performance Standards enabling Structural Integrity for critical structures and systems.
- Contribute to the continuous development of design basis and studies scope of work documents.
- Be a HSE role model towards others including the Contractors. Raise awareness and align any gaps between Harbour Energy’s expectations and contractor’s safety standard.
- Owner’s representative and Technical Authority for the discipline.
TASKS AND SCOPE OF WORK / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS.
- Ensure that relevant regulatory/company requirements are complied with.
- Describe and monitor technical integrity of relevant systems/barriers
- Provide input and update to project Basis of Design as required.
- Provide directives for safe and efficient operations during Facility lifetime, including the establishment and follow up of specific performance requirements for barriers.
- Special focus and responsibility to follow-up contractors material selection and development of material specifications.
- Provide input to tender processes (SoW, project requirements etc) and support tender clarification and evaluation up to RFA.
- Implement and follow the design verification process.
- Contribute to project risk workshops and follow up on engineering-related actions relating to risk mitigation measures.
- Contribute to the management of change process, development of operations plans, philosophies, procedures, manuals, etc.
- Participate in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and other HSEs-related reviews.
- Identify and follow-up TQP’s and qualifications as required
- Provide input to schedule planning and cost estimating with particular to material delivery and LLI’s
- Contribute and prepare relevant parts of decision support packages.
- Ensure lessons learned from the earlier projects and ongoing activities can be captured and addressed.
- Travelling to and prolonged periods at Contractor sites is expected
- Offshore work is expected
TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
Technical Skills (Special Technical knowledge: As: Software. Law knowledge, standards knowledge, etc.)
- Expertise on local and international regulatory framework
- Experience from design, manufacture and fabrication of subsea and offshore structures
Non-Technical Skills (It refers to soft skills: i.e. leadership, management skills, negotiation, communication, etc.)
- Trust, care, open-minded and brave
- Result-oriented with a balanced focus on: HSEQ – Production – Cost – People.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high tempo environment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Education (Level of educational required)
- Preferably Master’s degree. Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree (Depends on experience)
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory/company requirements and international standards.
- Have understanding from platform and subsea pipeline projects through all phases.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of material assessment and selection including welding standards and methods.
- In-depth understanding of corrosion mechanisms and corrosion assessment.
