Purpose of Role:

 

  • Support the department by developing financial and economic models, conducting data analysis, and preparing reports that strengthen strategic decision-making. Additionally, contribute to planning, administration, and risk assessment processes. This position is designed for recent graduates with high development potential.

 

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):

 

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

 

  • Develop financial and economic models for all business unit strategies (exploration, development, and production).
  • Analyse macroeconomic information and energy market data.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on investment and planning projects.
  • Apply risk and uncertainty assessment methodologies, including scenario analysis.
  • Conduct stochastic evaluations.
  • Provide support in resource and hydrocarbon reserves estimation processes (audits, certifications, reviews, etc.).
  • Develop proposals for the economic optimization of productive and development projects.
  • Provide support in cost control processes for all projects within the business unit.
  • Assist in the automation of financial processes.
  • Provide support in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in the implementation and updating of interactive reports for financial indicator visualization.
  • Deliver analytical support to achieve the business plan and unit objectives.
  • Incorporate petroleum fiscal regimes into financial models.

 

Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree in economics, Finance, Business, or a related field will be considered an advantage.

  • Up to five (5) years of desirable experience in the oil and gas industry within the financial or economic area.
