Purpose of Role:

 

  • To act as FPSO Company Representative for the FPSO FEED/EPC(I) delivery with the responsibility to manage and control the FEED/EPC(I) contract(s), from FEED engineering to detail design, procurement, yard construction and modifications, transportation and offshore installation, ensuring Contractor delivery in line with Contract standards and regulations.
  • Monitor, co-ordinate and Lead Contractor activities in line with Kan Project Master Schedule, focusing on design compliance, critical package(s) delivery and yard completions integrating Company goals in terms of QHSES.
  • Lead and supervise the FPSO Engineering Team

 

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):

 

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.
  • Be a HSE role model towards others including the Contractors. 

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

 

  • Ensure compliance with Harbour Energy Management System.
  • Provide leadership on HSEQ issues and set by example the framework and behaviors towards the Contractors
  • Implement team/ group management and leadership principles and governance of the FPSO scope aligned with Company expectations and standards.
  • Establish and describe Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) / targets / goals to be applied for the FPSO Lease and Operate Contract follow-up and administration.
  • Participate and contribute to project risk workshops. Identify and follow up relevant risks and opportunities with corresponding actions.
  • Ensure that necessary and competent resources are available and assigned to the follow-up of the FPSO Contract(s).
  • Cooperate with the WHP and SURF respective Company Representatives to ensure alignment and coordination between SURF and WHP interfaces, schedules and deliveries.
  • Obtain assistance and support from Contract Administrator and HBR Legal Department in handling of conflicts, claims and warranties.
  • Ensure that all FPSO engineering, procurement, construction, testing, completion, installation and hook up and commissioning of all FPSO related equipment and systems is adequately delivered in accordance with project standards and functional specifications defined in the FPSO Contract.
  • Monitor progress of interface engineering between SURF and WHP Contractors and others.
  • Ensure lessons learned from the earlier projects and ongoing activities can be captured and addressed.
  • Provide input to tender processes (SoW, project requirements etc) and support tender clarification and evaluation up to RFA.
  • Provide timely input to Contract management processes such as changes, TQ’s, NCR’s, VOR’s, document reviews, cost & scheduling etc.
  • Close-out and agree all technical/contractual matters related to the FPSO Contract.
  • Travelling to prolonged periods at Contractor sites is expected.
  • Travelling Interfacing Contractors work sites is expected.
  • Offshore work is expected.

 

Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience:

 

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, process or other relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 12- 15 years relevant experience with FPSO/FSU or similar construction projects, preferably experience from with both operators and contractors, early phase and/or execute.
  • Mandatory: Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Preferably: Spanish
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Contract work and mechanism including experience from Lease and Operate Contracts.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant Contractors/Suppliers and the latest market developments.
  • Management and leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of local and international regulatory framework
  • Experience from Procurement activities/ITT/SoW
  • Demonstrated experience from both FPSO FEED work and FPSO EPC work
