Purpose of Role:
- Support the activities to accomplish the Internal and External Communications plan for the year (Communication strategy aligned with the BU and Corporate).
- Design, develop and execute marketing and communications activities to help grow Harbour Energy’s presence in Mexico. To achieve this, the candidate will be responsible to explore new ways to position the Company as a leading brand in the energy sector in Mexico.
- This includes working closely with other functions in the Company, external agencies and media, to execute targeted activities and campaigns.
Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):
- Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
- Supports Mexico BU Communications team with developing internal/external communication materials: social media materials and posts, newsletters, flyers, advertising materials, presentations, etc.
- Plans, develops, implements, and organizes internal and external events and campaigns, along with other functional areas and teams in the BU.
- Supports with the plan and execution of employee engagement activities and campaigns along with the Human Resources team, that help build a strong culture and employee morale.
- Support for photo and video projects for the Mexico Business Unit
- Supports with writing, editing and proofreading internal/external communications materials such as articles, posts, intranet content, website content, etc
- Developing campaigns to enhance the positioning of the Harbour Energy brand in Mexico. This includes the creation of impactful assets that align with the company’s objectives of building positive awareness on CSR and sustainability matters.
- Promptly identifying developing stories that could present opportunities or risks to the company, through regular monitoring of the local media including print and digital channels and recommending courses of action.
- Throughout many of these activities, the candidate will collaborate closely with teams across the company in Mexico (e.g., External Affairs, Human Resources, HSES, Management Team).
- Communications support during crisis situations.

Technical Skills
- Should be able to develop communications plans and implement public relations tactics.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of corporate communication, crisis management and media relations.
- Run internal meetings with the ability to keep projects on track, meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge about political contexts, energy sector, authorities, and media.
- Knowledge about energy policy and key players.
- A strong understanding of social media tools and platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram).
- Proficient in Microsoft 360.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Spark, After Effects and Premiere (Preferred).

Professional Experience
- Must have at least 4 to 6 years of work experience in communications, public relations and crisis management.
Education
- Bachelor´s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism.
Language
- Spanish: Mastery and skills of comprehension, conversation, writing and translation, in the field of business (written & spoken).
- English: Mastery and skills of comprehension, conversation, writing and translation, in the field of business (written & spoken).
