Job Responsibilities:

Scope 1 – Accounting & Financial Reporting
•    Assist in monthly closing activities, including data collection, reconciliations and journal entry support;
•    Maintain general ledger accuracy and support documentation review;
•    Support the preparation of audit files and follow up on auditor requests;
•    Help maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation checks;
•    Learn how accounting transactions are processed under IFRS and PSA (Production Sharing Agreement) frameworks;
•    Contribute to cost recovery schedules, JV statement updates, and operator report reviews.
Scope 2 – Planning, Performance Reporting & Forecasting
•    Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting and business plan preparation;
•    Support analysis of performance variances and maintaining KPI dashboards;
•    Support management reporting packs and variance commentaries;
•    Apply planning and reporting tools;
•    Perform Risk & Opportunity updates from risk owners and support quantifying financial impacts;
Scope 3 – Project Controlling and Economics
•    Track project progress against approvals, budgets, and schedules;
•    Manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in SAP for Opex and Capex, support Technical LoF (Life of Field) concept;
•    Support the processing of Cash Calls, JIBs (Joint Interest Billing Statements), and JV (Joint Venture) partner reporting processes;
•    Support the mapping process between JV statements and billings into internal books and cost reporting;
•    Support project economic evaluations and sensitivities (price, cost, volume);
•    Apply basic Economic Models (EMO) and financial KPIs (NPV, IRR, Payback);
•    Collaborate with Corporate Economics to ensure compliance with macro assumptions and corporate guidelines.

Qualifications: 

•   Bachelor’s degree or senior students in Finance, Economics or Accounting
•   Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent to (“Very Good” or “High Honors”)
•   Took at least 1 internship in a well-known company
•   Participated in student activities or/and volunteering activities
•   Legally eligible to work in Egypt (Egyptian Nationals only)
•   Strong analytical and numerical capability
•   High learning agility and motivation for intensive cross-functional development
•   Solid communication skills in English
•   Advanced MS office skills (Excel as priority)
•   Flexibility in dynamic environments and openness to learning
•   Ability to receive and work on international assignments
