Purpose of the role: 

Responsible for delivering reliable production forecasts, reserves certification, and technical evaluations to support business planning, investment decisions, and joint-venture influence. The role provides independent subsurface and economic assessments across all Argentina BU assets, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, it supports management, POV and commercial teams with high-quality information and analysis.

 

Critical Responsibilities:  

  • Support business processes including Long Range Plan, Budget, GFOs, and Reserves & Resources booking and support with ad-hoc headquarter requests.
  • Participate in internal/external audits, ensure high-quality reserves certification, in order to certify hydrocarbon volumes in all the BU assets
  • Participate in TCMs and workshops, defending company interests and influencing joint-venture decisions (shale gas, marginal wells, workovers, development strategies). 
  • Support POV Specialist o the joint-venture influencing (JVI) Plan and activities that are essential for ensuring that HBR targets are fulfilled and defended in the asset group.
  • Conduct technical evaluations using dynamic models, DCA, material balance and other specific reservoir engineering tasks in support of the various producing assets. 
  • Production forecasting for the preparation of the annual Long Range Plan - LRP, Quarterly reviews and or when needed.
  • Conduct evaluations in APE and SR VM: type well curve generation, benchmarking, production forecasts under constraints and assumptions, opex/capex assessments leveraging market intelligence (Welligence, Woodmac, Rystad, etc.).
  • Evaluating project performance and project outcomes, generating evaluation reports and presentations
  • Provide cross-asset support across Argentina BU (Tierra del Fuego and Neuquén) as needed, ensuring continuity in technical evaluations and business processes.
  • Upon availability perform other Reservoir Engineering related tasks on demand (technical analysis of possible M&A’s and others)
  • Support Subsurface Manager with information and analysis on HQ and Management Team requests.
  • Support Commercial Team on understand the short and midterm needs of gas supply.
  • Promote and embody the HBR’s Culture and Code of Conduct, fostering HBR values in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Role-model for effective HSE leadership
  • Foster cross-functional work, open feedback, and continuous learning, in synergy with other BU and corporate functions.

Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibilty and Competence: 

•Determining appropriate reservoir models, decline parameters, and forecasting methods to best represent asset performance.
•Deciding when to challenge operator assumptions and propose alternative development or investment strategies.
•Prioritizing which development opportunities and contingent resources to advance for reserves booking and board approval.
•Selecting key inputs and assumptions (type curves, opex/capex, market benchmarks) for economic evaluations.

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.: 

•Solid understanding of local context and market.
•Broad upstream experience, across exploration, development, and project execution.
•Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret incomplete data.
•Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving targets and delivering measurable business outcomes.
