Purpose of Role:

• Lead and coordinate Occupational Hygiene programmes to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and company standards to achieve sustainable HSE results. 

 

Critical Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence: 

• This position tracks the performance for the company for Occupational Hygiene monitoring and reports back to the business.

• Providing business with appropriate advice on compliance within the current legislation.

• Advise and mitigate risk associated with clinical, occupational, and environmental health issues associated with business activities, which may have a litigation, reputation, or other business risk.

• Assure compliance with relevant hygiene legislation.

• Create, review, and own all hygiene related procedures and documents ensuring they remain complaint with current legislation and industry good practice.

• Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across operated assets and promoting Occupational Hygiene awareness.

• Lead and participate in audits as required.

• Manage and coordinate the Occupational Hygiene programmes: Noise, Vibration; COSHH, Asbestos, Lead, Mercury, Benzene, Legionella, Air Quality and conducting as required Occupational Hygiene sampling in support of the Programmes. 

• Monitoring quality and accuracy of Occupational Hygiene related incident investigations, actions and close out, reviewing asset HSE performance, identifying trends and proposing solutions.

• Providing KPI data and updates for internal and external reporting requirements.

• Focal Point for Occupational Hygiene related Regulatory Inspections.

• Represent Harbour Energy on Industry bodies and forums when required.

• Participate in emergency response support as required.

• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager. 

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.: 

• Experience of occupational hygiene.

• Degree level hygiene qualification with substantial UKCS on / offshore industry experience.

• Member of a recognised institute, at chartered level or working towards.

• Must hold required UK offshore required qualifications.

• Awareness of Harbour Energy HSES Policies and Business Management System (BMS)

• Awareness of Harbour Energy Values & Business Principles
