Purpose of Role:

  • The Senior Asset Integrity Systems and Data Engineer is a key role within the asset integrity team, that leads the management, development and assurance of critical asset integrity data, digital systems and analytics to support effective decision making, visibility of risk, improved defect and anomaly management, in support of risk-based programs across Harbor Energy’s portfolio of operated assets
  • The role will ensure the Company’s ONE Integrity Database is consistently managed and maintained to a high standard and the integrity data environment is accurate, verified and integrated with all linked Harbour Energy systems. Further the role shall ensure inspections records, anomaly registers, equipment registers, 3D Point Cloud models are effectively maintained for adoption of technology driven monitoring solutions and future asset integrity Risk Based Programs of work
  • The position acts as a key enabler of technology-led efficiency, ensuring that digital tools, integrity management systems (IMS), and performance dashboards provide high-quality insights for operational, engineering, and leadership decision-making.
  • The Senior Asset Integrity Systems and Data Engineer will play a key role in the integrated team for asset integrity reporting across key metrics and KPIs for the demonstration of environmentally responsible, cost-effective and timely execution of all aspects of the asset integrity inspection maintenance and testing program including prioritisation of defect rectification

 

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES):

  • Ensure that integrity data is effectively managed, controlled and quality checked to ensure that risk-based programs, anomalies and recorded defects are being effectively managed for the prevention of Loss of Containment and Structural Failure. 
  • Ensuring critical asset data is maintained in ONE Integrity databases and a single source of truth to enable robust risk-based decision making of inspection and corrective maintenance planning  
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures
    In support of MAE and MATTE the Senior Asset Integrity Systems and Data Engineer will support the integrated asset integrity team by ensuring data is accurate, reliable and complete and that the control of anomalies, defects and degradation can be demonstrated and where gaps are identified, communicate and escalate to ensure that gaps can be closed and barrier health is maintained
  • Base understanding of Harbour energy Corporate Major Accident Prevent Plan Principles of Process safety Leadership and Process safety Fundamentals and their relationship with preventing MAE / MATTE,

 

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

 

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

Accountabilities: 

  • Systems ownership to act as the owner of the ONE Integrity Databases and focal point for ongoing maintenance, upgrades and improvements as well as being accountable for CMMS interfacing and reporting tools with other UK BU Systems owners 
  • 3D Point Cloud Model ownership and ensuring these are maintained and updated in conjunctions with Points cloud vendor
  • The role shall be accountable for the quality of data in ONE Integrity database and providing governance that ensures integrity related data, inspection history results, anomalies, follow up inspection task, inspection monitor tasks are being met and do not go overdue. 
  • The role shall be accountable for ‘Audit ready data’ relating to asset integrity, barrier health and key performance metrics
  • The role will be accountable for championing technology and digital enablement of the risk-based inspection programs, through adoption of the 3D point cloud digital twin models enabling efficiencies and cost-effective solutions in the delivery of those programs
  • Accountable for integrity systems ownership and development and acts as a focal point for system configuration and upgrades to ONE Integrity Database in conjunction with IT / Digital teams.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining and administering the inspection data management Systems ONE Integrity to ensure all actions are accurately captured, data governance standards, validation rules and master data are up to date
  • Applying governance through the systems to ensure anomalies found in the execution of the inspection programme are assessed, prioritised and reported and communicated in a timely manner and the inspection data (results, reports, drawings), are accurate and processed appropriately.
  • Oversight and governance on the input of asset integrity data in the ONE Integrity system to ensure it is being entered consistently 
  • Developing Work pack work management process for the preparation and readiness for execution of inspection work packs and QA/QC of completed inspection work packs.
  • Developing and maintaining a suite of asset integrity monthly reports, including KPIs, data trends, anomaly statuses and dashboards that highlight integrity performance 
  • Driving continuous improvement and completeness in the build and validation of asset registers, master equipment lists, equipment types and links with 3D point cloud Digital Twin models 
  • Provide support for functional meetings, integrity forums with key integrity data that report on the status of asset integrity risk for SECE equipment 
  • Works collaboratively to support the development of the annual asset integrity plan, providing input data based and defined priorities across the integrated team disciplines
  • Works collaboratively with disciplines engineers (mechanical, integrity, corrosion, structures and pipelines to ensure data supports engineering decision-making
  • Work collaboratively to support asset integrity team to develop the annual asset integrity budget is managed and contribute to future budget development for delivering risk-based programs
  • Shall foster strong working relationships with the wider asset integrity team and asset Delivery leads to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Provides training, guidance and user support for Integrity systems and data analytic tools. 

Technical Competencies and capabilities:

  • Possess a strong functional understanding of Harbour Energy systems, software, databases and their development, with technical competence in data analytics and reporting tools such as Power Bi or similar.
  • Has a base understanding of primary asset integrity codes and industry standards i.e. ASME PCC”, B31.3, API codes and standards relating to asset integrity 
  • Possess a structured, systematic approach to data management and data quality assurance and applies system level thinking and attention to data integrity  
  • An effective communicator able to translate data insights into operational risk awareness and presenting clearly to peers and senior management 
  • Committed to ongoing development to maintain and build core competencies and keeping abreast of advancing technologies and industry collaboration in field of expertise that can be adopted to enhance company’s approach to asset Integrity management

 

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

  • Educated Degree /HND/HNC or significant demonstrable (7+ Years) industry experience in similar roles or equivalent technical discipline 
  • Previous experience in developing digital transformation or data integration projects in an energy or process industry 
  • Track record of continuous professional development e.g. Chartered/Incorporated Engineer via a recognised engineering body 
  • Experience in mechanical/asset integrity programs, with strong understanding in Asset Integrity management, RBI, Anomaly Management and MAH prevention
  • Conversant with UK regulatory environment, e.g. PSSR, PSR, Safety Case, verification etc.
  • As part of ongoing development and integration with offshore teams may be required to mobilise offshore as and when required by business.
  • Familiar with the operation of the Maintenance Management System.
  • Strong team working skills and experience within inspection team environment showing collaboration and fostering strong positive identity in line with Harbour Energy Core values.
  • Accomplished planning and organisational skills with effective communication and networking skills.
  • Awareness of Harbour Energy HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS)
  • Awareness of Harbour Energy Core Values and ability to demonstrate these values on an ongoing basis and through business Principles
