Job Role: Asset Integrity Team Lead

Purpose of Role:
To lead and manage the Asset Integrity Team in delivering a safe, environmentally responsible, cost-effective and timely asset integrity programme. The role is accountable for the oversight of topsides pressure systems and structural inspections, prioritised anomaly remediation and the effective execution of the fabric maintenance strategy. It also includes clear communication of asset integrity status and performance through KPI’s, ensuring transparency, informed decision-making and continuous improvement. This supports asset reliability, regulatory compliance and strong team performance.
Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES):
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures
- The Asset Integrity Lead will be accountable for the execution of inspection plans across UKBU. The aim will be for the continued safe operation of plant together with a well-maintained RBI, anomaly database & integrity management system.
- Ensure anomalies found in the execution of the inspection programme are assessed, prioritised and reported and communicated in a timely manner and the inspection data (results, reports, drawings), are accurate and processed appropriately.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
• Work towards successful delivery of the operating centre and wider Harbour Energy Goals.
• Supervision of 3rd party embedded contractors.
• Execution of the Risk Based Inspection programme for topsides and structures via SAP / Maximo maintenance management system.
• Chair asset specific bi-weekly Defect/Anomaly meeting to prioritise, risk rank and agree proposed Defect/Anomaly remediation with Integrity engineer or Discipline lead within M&E
• Responsible for ensuring the topside anomaly management system is implemented and that anomalies are correctly prioritised and addressed in a timely manner.
• Maintain ONE inspection management through timely completion of inspection and anomaly reports.
• Owner of the short range Asset AI plan.
• Delegated ownership of the asset integrity budget.
• Preparation and execution of inspection work packs and QA/QC of completed inspection workpacks.
• Oversee campaigned defect execution on the asset bolting, Repair orders, Defined Life Repair application.
• Interface with project scopes involving asset integrity discipline support.
• Responsible for delivery of fabric maintenance programme including QA/QC of workmanship and completed work packs / programmes.
• Working closely with the wider M&E asset integrity team Discipline leads to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
• Mobilise offshore as and when required by business.
• ER Allowance - The postholder may be required to join the emergency response rota should this become a requirement of the position.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:
• Educated to engineering degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus preferable NDT qualifications/ experience and/or vocational certificates.
• Track record of continuous professional development e.g. Chartered/Incorporated Engineer via a recognised engineering body
• Experience in mechanical/asset integrity programmes.
• Conversant with UK regulatory environment, e.g. PSSR, PSR, Safety Case, verification etc.
• Conversant with mechanical design codes and have ability to carry out fitness for service calculations.
• Familiar with the operation of the Maintenance Management System.
• Experience within inspection team environment.
• Strong technical team leadership and team working skills.
• Accomplished planning and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and networking skills.
• Occasional offshore travel.
• Track record of continuous professional development
